March Book Madness Begins!

In celebration of National Reading Month in March, we will be hosting an online fundraiser throughout the month. The fundraising campaign features a fun “March Book Madness” where selected book titles will face off on social media. By popular vote, the initial line up of 16 books will be narrowed to ‘elite eight,’ ‘final four,’ and ultimately the ‘champion.’ On Friday, March 26, 2021 we will host a virtual read aloud with local author Jadel H. Davis, award winners of the Read-a-thon, celebrate the March Book Madness Champion, and wrap up the campaign.

Achieving this season’s fundraising goal of $15,000 will allow us to serve the nearly 300 students attending weekly Center for Success programs during this critical time. Additionally, this support allows us to train and support nearly 400 volunteers from all areas of SE Michigan to mentor our students each week; the relationships they have built have a lasting and meaningful effect on our students.
