Ian McCain, Senior Business and Economic Development Manager at Eastside Community Network (ECN)

Ian's interests lie at the intersection of community engagement through political organizing and economic development. The question that has driven his work forward since graduate school is: "How do we work within and outside of capitalism to achieve economic sustainability, moving towards equity, justice, and liberation for marginalized individuals and communities?" He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Community Development Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. In addition to his roles at ECN and C4S, Ian enjoys reading and traveling in his spare time. He hopes to make it back to Cuba post-pandemic.
